Pool Renovation

Turn a dated pool into the best part of the property with new tile, coping, decking, lighting and modern equipment.

Overview

Most 1980s pools are worth saving

The shell under an old Long Island pool is usually sound. What ages badly is the tile, coping, cracked concrete decking and the equipment pad. A renovation replaces all of that for a fraction of a new build, and can reshape the pool with raised walls, a sun shelf or a spa.

  • Structural assessment before we quote anything
  • Waterline tile, coping and full deck replacement
  • Sun shelves, raised walls, spas and sheer descent water features
  • Variable speed pumps, heaters and salt systems that cut running costs
  • Color LED lighting and phone-based automation

Questions

Pool Renovation FAQ

How much does a pool renovation cost?

Cosmetic packages of tile, coping and surface commonly land between $18,000 and $35,000. Full renovations with new decking and equipment typically run $45,000 to $90,000.

How long does it take?

Three to six weeks for most renovations, longer when decking, hardscape or reshaping is involved.

Is my old shell worth renovating?

Usually yes. Structural cracks or a failing bond beam are the exceptions, and we check both before quoting.

Can you convert chlorine to salt water?

Yes, and it is one of the most requested upgrades we do.

When should renovation work be scheduled?

Fall and early spring are ideal, and booking in autumn usually secures a spring completion.
